Self-care is care provided for you by you.
Self-care is a very simple, yet powerful tool that you have to improve your mental health, confidence, relationships, and overall wellness. It will also improve your productivity and focus.
The best way to practise self-care is by being aware of what makes you feel well, and by reminding yourself of those things every day.
In this course, you are going to learn how to create your own self-care list, how to include your loved ones in your selfcare journey, and how to find the time to actually practice self-care. You will also learn about the importance of creating your selfcare list by location and by activity type. Your self-care list can be as simple as bullet points and as elaborated as a beautiful painting. And everything in between. There is no right or wrong way to do this. It's your choice and you will learn different approaches so that you can choose the one that fits you best. I have included practical exercises that we will do together to help you reconnect with your body with your mind, and help you with intention and self-love. I have also included a lesson about how to use bullet journaling to maintain, and amplify your selfcare practice.
Are you ready to bring more joy and intention back into your life while increasing your energy levels and motivation?
DAY 1: What Is Self-care?
Self-care is care provided “for you, by you.” It's about identifying your own needs and taking steps to meet them. It is taking the time to do some of the activities that nurture you. Self-care will improve your mental health, overall wellness, and bring more playfulness into your life.
In this lesson, we are going to dive deeper into the definition of self-care, the physical and emotional signs that self-care is needed, and the benefits of practicing self-care so that you get inspired to keep going.
DAY 2: Key Dimensions of Self-care
In this lesson, you are going to learn how self-care can have a huge impact in different dimensions of your life like physical, mental, emotional, social, professional, spiritual and more. By becoming aware of these key dimensions, you will be able to assess how you feel and what you need to include in your self-care plan. All these dimensions work together as a whole and nurturing them will help you improve your overall wellness and happiness.
DAY 3: Tools to Help You Reconnect with Your Body & Mind
In this lesson, you are going to learn about 3 powerful tools that will help you reconnect with your body and mind. First, we are going to do a body scan to assess how you are feeling, then we are going to do some breathwork together to help you get grounded, then we are going to finish with a short meditation. The idea of this lesson is to introduce you to these powerful tools so that you can experience them and hopefully include them in your daily or weekly selfcare practice.
DAY 4: Tools to Help You with Intention & Self Love
In this lesson, you are going to learn 3 powerful exercises to help you increase your intention and self love. We are going to start with a visualization. Then we will continue with affirmations, and we will finish doing some mirror work. These three exercises are VERY powerful ways to help you elevate your vibration, energy levels and motivation. The idea here is to introduce these practices and let you try them so that you can experience them and hopefully include them in your daily or weekly selfcare practice
DAY 5: Creating Your Basic Self-Care List
You are ready to create your basic self-care list. This lesson is all about helping you create your first list and get you into action. We are going to brainstorm ideas together and leave some space and time for you to come up with your own self-care list. We are aiming for a few simple and actionable things that you can do in the next 24 hours. We will do a short meditation and breathwork during this lesson to help you get grounded and in a beautiful state of mind. From this place you will find more creativity and inspiration.
DAY 6: Creating Your Advanced Self-Care List
After your experience in the previous lesson, you now are ready to take your self-care list to the next level. To do this, you are going to learn how to create your self-care list by activity type, by location, and by person. These three concepts will help you create a more intentional and fulfilling list. You will see how much easier it is to integrate self-care into your life following this method.
DAY 7: Creating an Inviting Space for Self-Care
Once you have your self-care list created, it’s time to make sure that your physical space is inviting and functional for all the activities that you want to do. In this lesson, you are going to learn a simple and effective step-by-step method that will help you create spaces that facilitate your self-care and the new lifestyle that you want to live. You will also learn about the emotional and energetic relationship that we all have with our belongings.
DAY 8: Creating & Protecting Time for Self-Care
The secret about successfully creating your own self-care plan is taking consistent action. This lesson is all about helping you create the time for self-care and protect it. You are going to learn how to design your ideal week that includes the self-care activities that will nurture your body and your soul. This is a very practical, visual, and fun exercise that will change the way you manage your time. The end result will be a week that you will look forward to 😊
DAY 9: How to Say NO and Create Healthy Boundaries
One of the most powerful ways to protect your time and energy is learning how to say NO to the things that you don’t want in your life. Saying NO is not selfish. By saying no, you are opening up time and space to be a better you. And when you are a better and happier you, you will be able to give way more to others. By the end of this lesson, you will have strategies to be able to say no with confidence and integrity. You will also learn how to create healthy boundaries with yourself and with others.
DAY 10: Using Journaling to Maintain & Amplify Your Self-Care
The difference between you succeeding and you failing at creating lasting change in your life is reflection and maintenance. When you can reflect and maintain, these changes will become permanent habits. You will become a new person with a new set of habits and routines that will nurture you. A great tool to help you reflect and maintain is journaling. In this lesson, you are going to learn how to use a journal to maintain and amplify your self-care.
